We’ll also schedule planning calls so we can fine-tune the details together. Ceremony Day: What to Expect at NYC City Hall
City Hall weddings are beautifully simple, but there’s still a flow to the day that helps everything feel smooth. When you arrive at the courthouse, there’s a quick security check and a bit of paperwork before the ceremony itself. The ceremony is short and meaningful, usually just a few minutes, and takes place in a private room with a clerk! You can bring up to four guests total (including your photographer), and you’ll need at least one witness. If you don’t have one, I’m always happy to step in. Because I’ve photographed so many City Hall weddings, I know how to move efficiently while still leaving room for emotion. I’ll guide you gently when needed, but I also know when to step back and let moments unfold naturally. You get to be fully present, knowing everything is being taken care of!
After “I Do”: Portraits, Exploring, and Making It Yours
Once the ceremony is over, this is where your day really opens up. As your NYC City Hall Wedding Photographer, I help turn the rest of the experience into something that feels personal and fun, not like a checklist.
